This 14-week program combines weekly restorative yoga group sessions with individual therapeutic support to promote progressive and lasting change.
The focus of this series is nervous system regulation — slowing down, reducing overwhelm, and restoring a sense of steadiness and emotional balance through body-based practices.
Sessions are dedicated to turning inward: shifting from mind to body, learning to listen to sensation, and nourishing the nervous system through gentle movement, breath, silence, and deep rest.
This work supports emotional balance by helping you:
You have the ability to live in emotional balance – it is a capacity you can reconnect with.
This program integrates embodied, experiential yoga practices with nervous-system-informed psychoeducation to support sustainable change.
Each week, you’ll participate in a restorative yoga group session designed to soothe the nervous system and support deep rest.
Yoga sessions are guided by Certified Restorative Yoga Teacher, Colleen Thakkar of Wander Within Yoga & Wellness, in collaboration with Inner Calm.
Each group session is co-facilitated by a therapist who shares insights about the nervous system, chronic stress, and healing from burnout.
Optional individual one-on-one sessions with an intern psychotherapist from Inner Calm will help personalize this work and support long-term integration.
The different yoga techniques used in this program are gentle, supportive, and designed for nervous system regulation. They include:
Somatic Movement & Therapeutic Yoga
Slow, mindful movement guided by sensation rather than form. These practices help release tension, reconnect you to your body’s natural rhythm, and prepare the body for breathwork and rest. Most of the time we move at the pace of the mind; these practices invite movement at the pace of the body.
Body-Sensing & Breathwork
Body-sensing practices combined with intentional breathwork, practiced primarily in supported restorative postures. Techniques are selected for their proven effects on calming the nervous system, balancing stress hormones, quieting the mind, and supporting emotional regulation.
Restorative Yoga
A deeply restful practice supported by props to create nurturing postures of ease and comfort. By fully supporting the body, restorative yoga allows the nervous system to shift out of doing and into being. This powerful internal practice supports physical relaxation while also quieting the mind, encouraging embodied reflection, emotional resilience, and mental flexibility.
Yoga Nidra
A guided deep relaxation practice often referred to as yogic sleep. Practiced in a supported lying position, Yoga Nidra helps regulate the nervous system, refresh the brain, and cultivate intentional awareness while resting — learning how to be present with yourself in stillness.
All of these practices support emotional balance by helping you become more aware of your body and mind, more grounded in the present moment, more relaxed, and able to rest and recover.
These yoga techniques offer a body-centered approach to care by listening to and responding to the body’s sensations, signals, and rhythms — not just thoughts.
Rather than trying to think your way into calm or push through stress, these practices support regulation from the inside out.

This program offers a supportive space to reconnect with rest, steadiness, and inner calm – at your own pace.
Deep Rest & Regulation is offered as a longer-term therapeutic container, with the understanding that consistency over time is a key part of nervous system healing.
For this reason, enrollment is a commitment to the full 14-week program. Sessions are billed weekly, and refunds are not available once the program has begun.
We understand that participants may occasionally miss a session due to illness, vacation, or life circumstances. This is expected and accounted for in the structure and length of the program.
Missed sessions cannot be rescheduled or transferred. Participants are encouraged to attend as consistently as possible while also honoring their capacity and wellbeing.
