Parent-Child Sessions

Our nervous systems are wired to seek connection — especially during times of stress, growth, or uncertainty. These sessions are designed to support that connection by inviting both children or teens and their parents into the therapeutic process.

This kind of session is often helpful not only for younger children and teens, but also for young adults in their 20s who are living at home. We can shape the session to meet the needs of your family, no matter the age or structure.

We begin each session by gently checking in — noticing how your body and emotions are showing up today. From there, we’ll identify what feels most important to focus on, or continue building on the goals already set for your therapy journey.

Because co-regulation and reflection take time, these sessions are always booked for more than an hour. This allows each person space to speak, feel heard, and reflect without being rushed.

If your child or teen feels hesitant about therapy, an Intro Meeting might help ease them in. Just mention it when you reach out — we’ll move at a pace that feels safe and respectful.

Babies are always welcome in session. Breastfeeding or bottle-feeding can be part of your rhythm here.
