Chantelle Sayegh

Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

Master of Counselling Psychology Intern

I am completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University and bring nearly 20 years of experience in community mental health, addictions, and crisis support, including recent work supporting mental health and wellness in Indigenous communities.

I believe therapy should be a space where you can show up as you are and feel heard, understood, and accepted without judgment. My approach is warm, person-centred, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive, with an emphasis on emotion-focused and self-compassion work.

I am particularly passionate about supporting people experiencing self-harm or suicidal thoughts, as well as those who may feel overwhelmed by difficult emotions or disconnected from themselves. I also welcome clients navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, grief and loss, self-worth, and life transitions.

Through curiosity, compassion, and genuine connection, I work collaboratively with clients to better understand their experiences, recognize their strengths, and build a kinder relationship with themselves. I strive to create a safe, authentic space where even the difficult things can be explored openly and honestly.

A little about me: I was born and raised in Sarnia, Ontario, and come from a family with South American roots. After spending nearly 20 years in Kitchener-Waterloo, I returned to my hometown of Sarnia. Outside of work, I enjoy being near the water, spending time in nature, and finding moments to slow down and reconnect.
