Our office is designed with nervous system safety in mind. The space feels more like a cozy living room than a clinic—because when your body feels safe, your brain is better able to do the work of healing. You’ll be invited to take off your outdoor shoes and settle into a couch or chair—whatever feels most comfortable for you.
Each session starts with a check-in. You might notice how you’re feeling emotionally, physically, or energetically. This helps us attune to your nervous system’s current state—whether you're feeling anxious and activated, shut down and disconnected, or somewhere in between. From there, we’ll either return to your ongoing therapy goals or choose a focus that fits where you are today.
This way of working honors the fact that healing happens best when the nervous system is regulated. That doesn’t mean you need to feel “calm” all the time—but it does mean we’ll pay attention to what helps you feel grounded, safe, and supported as we go. The environment, the pacing, and even the length of sessions are intentionally structured to help your brain and body feel more at ease.
